How to Turn Your Gas Meter Off

Gas Meter Relocation Melbourne By Templestowe Plumbing & Gas
Gas Meter Relocation Process
First, arrange for our gas plumber to visit your property and provide you with a quote for the works that need to be completed.
Preparing Site
Once the quote has been approved, a fee is paid to the gas company to have a standby crew attend the site once the line is exposed and ready to be moved. There are certain requirements in which a plumber must prepare before organising a crew.
Plumbing Work
Once the crew attends, the plumber needs to ensure the line is exposed for the gas company to squeeze and shut off the gas supply, for the plumber to relocate the meter to the required new position.
Testing Gas Flow
Once the work has been completed, the gas flow to the property is reinstated and all lines and the meter are tested to ensure no leaks are found and the area is safe.
Commissioning
All fixtures will then need to be purged and commissioned.
Our Heating Point Service for Gas Bayonet Installation with Natural Gas
Natural gas provides a great warm feel to your house when used. They are energy efficient gas and are extremely economical to run. Gas bayonet points are the most common use for gas heating around a house. Heaters are connected to the bayonets which come with a hose that makes it easy to move around the house.
Think you have a leaking gas bayonet?
A good tip to know whether you have a leaking gas bayonet is to spray inside the bayonet with a soapy water spray whilst the hose from the heater is disconnected. If bubbles appear, turn your gas main off immediately and call your plumber.
